Beginner lessons
This set of six lessons is designed for complete beginners who would like to start on their throwing journey. Our maximum class size is four students - with two tutors on hand to guide you every step of the way. Topics covered include centring clay, throwing a small bowl, making cylinders, shaping mugs, pulling and attaching handles and repeat throwing. You will also be taught the basics of glazing. Sessions last from 1 & 1/4 to 2 hours. Once complete, you will be offered independent studio time to continue your practice.

The price includes all materials (clay, glazes, studio time, tutor support) - there are no hidden extra charges.

Lessons are weekly in 5 week blocks. There are daytime, evening and weekend sessions available throughout the year. Price includes a sixth session for glazing your pots once they are bisque-fired..
